The Pursuits Group provides a range of home care service options that have been developed to assist people to live supported in their own homes.
COMMUNITY NURSING SERVICES
We provide in home nursing care including:
- Comprehensive nursing assessment,
- Wound care,
- Stoma therapy,
- Continence advice and management,
- Falls risk assessment,
- Diabetes monitoring,
- Catheter management,
- Monitoring medication,
- Rehabilitation support.
HOME SUPPORT SERVICES
We provide a range of Home support services including:
- Personal Care,
- Home Help,
- Social support,
- Respite Care (including respite for Children),
- Gardening and Maintenance,
- Transport.
Personal Care – We manage the personal care needs of clients such as showering, shower assistance, grooming, application of compression stockings.
Gardening and Maintenance – trimming overgrown trees and shrubs, weeding, cleaning gutters, changing light bulbs etc. Even if you only want an hour – we can do it!
Social Support – assisting the client with shopping, visits to doctors, dentists, hairderssers, correspondance and managing accounts etc.
Home Help – including vacuuming, mopping, maintaining bathrooms, cleaning out cupboards, ironing etc.
Respite Care – skilled caring personnel can take the role of the main carer on an hourly, daily, overnight or weekly basis. (Adults and Children).
Transport – we can pick up, assist you during your outing and bring you back to your home if your regular means of transport isn’t available.
SERVICES FOR VETERANS
The Pursuits Group provides home support services that have been developed to assist veterans and their widows to live in their own homes.
Our services to veterans and widows include Domestic assistance covering:
- Shower, toilet, basin, bathtub, vacuuming, mopping floors
- Wipe out refrigerator and defrosting if required
- Clean microwave when required and cleaning kitchen cabinets
Other tasks if required and if time permits:
- dishwashing
- clothes washing and ironing
- bed making
- bill paying
- shopping for client (not to take client)
- cleaning internal windows
- assistance with meal preparation
Home and garden maintenance including:
- trimming shrubs and trees
- lawnmowing (where it constitutes a safety hazard for the veteran)
- cleaning gutters
- placing risers and sprinkler heads
- cleaning windows, flyscreens and exhaust fans
Transport
The Prusuits Group can provide transport services in line with the Repatriation Transport Scheme (RTS). Please download the DVA Claim Form and complete for reinbursement.

Experience has taught us it is extremely difficult to specify a definite service time due to availability of clients and last minute changes to schedules, but our care co-ordinators work tirelessly to clients recieve the service at a time best suited to the client.
